Gorgeous Hill rockin' red lips!

We had such a fun get together for our Haven Christmas party. We stuffed our faces at Texas Roadhouse then headed to Katie's beautiful home for dessert that Suzanne and Hillary made! The best part was our gift exchange! We exchanged good gifts and white elephants! We had some awesome white elephants! I think the two favorites were the booty underwear and hillbilly romantic evening kit! Not to mention the sweet prize for the best white elephant which went to Katie! I don't think she would want me to post the pictures of her in her green leotard with her green ballerina lady lamp! :)

Pumpkin Cake Recipe

We wanted to share an awesome recipe with you to add your your Thanksgiving Menu! We hope you enjoy it! 

Pumpkin Cake

 Mix together and Cream

1 cup    oil

3 cups  sugar

3           eggs

1 can   pumpkin (2cups)

2 tsp    vanilla

Shift together in another bowl

3 cups   flour

1¼ tsp  baking powder

1 tsp     soda

1 tsp     salt

1 tsp     allspice

1 tsp     ground cloves

1 tsp     nutmeg

2 tsp     cinnamon

Nuts are optional

Combine flour mixture into the cream mixture.

Grease and flour Bunt pan

Bake at 325 for about an hour.

Suzanne's client Jan has loved having her hair less frizzy. It's been easier for her to style on her own with more smoothness and shine. Instead of spending hours round brushing and flat ironing she can style it much faster. Here's the before:

Fun fall recipe Marshmallow Popcorn

Thanks to one of our clients Jillian for sharing this recipe with us. You can also add fall colored M&M's or pretzels to the recipe to make it more festive.

Marshmallow Popcorn

2 sticks of butter

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup corn syrup

4 cups Marshmallows

1/2 tsp vanilla

2 microwave bags of popcorn popped

Combine butter, sugar, and corn syrup in a sauce pan- boil 3 minutes and remove from heat, stir in marshmallows and vanilla.  Pour mixture over popped popcorn in large bowl and stir until covered.

Road Work

We wanted to let all our clients know about the road work they are doing on 1st south from 2nd West to 5th West along both sides of the road here were the Salon is located. They are doing work on the driveway curbs, sidewalks etc.. So this sometimes effects where you will be able to park. If our parking lot is blocked off you can park across the street at the Covey center and walk over. We will try and remind you when we call and confirm your appointments. We are sorry for any inconvience this may cause some of you. They have not given us a time frame of when the work will be completed, as soon as we know we will let you know.

Keratin Express Brazilian smoothing treatment

All Stylists at the Salon are now offering a revolutionary conditioning treatment. We took a great educational class are are happy to bring the treatment into the Salon. The introductory cost for the treatment is 55-

Frequently asked questions about the treatment-

Q. What's the difference between Keratin Express and most traditional keratin treatments?
A. Keratin Express offers our clients the same great conditioning/smoothing results, but at a fraction of the time and cost of most traditional treatments.

Q. How long does it take to complete the service and how long does it last?
A. Approximately 35 minutes time varies depending on hair length and density. Results last an average of 4-6 weeks.

Q. Who is Keratin Express For?
A. Anyone who wants shinier, smoother, healthier hair. Keratin Express works great on porous or chemically processed hair.

Q. How frequently can a client get a treatment?
A. Every 4- 6 weeks as needed.

Q. What is the result of the treatment?

Yeah! we have decided to join the blogging world again! There have been many changes since the last post in 2008!!

We are hoping to keep our blog better updated for you. We will post product specials (we just got in the enjoy haircare line and there will be a post coming soon about how amazing their products are). We will also post specials that our individual stylists are offering. We may also have giveaways and other fun things so stay tuned!

Update on Hillary

As many know we were so sad that Hillary moved to Virgina. Davy got a great job there. He flew out took the job and within a few weeks Hillary and Ollie joined him. She is getting settled and is enjoying being a stay at home mom. We will miss her more than she will know! As an incentive to keep her clients at the Haven Salon all the stylist are offering 20% off your entire first visit with one of us.
