We are getting very excited for our upcoming Haven Salon Spring Bazaar (boutique)

Haven Salon Bazaar!!

It's time again for another Haven Salon Bazaar  (aka Boutique!)

We are in need of venders: people who want to come and sell your cute homemade handcrafted goodies.

The best part is we will not be charging a "booth fee". Just a simple 20% commission. 

The date we have chosen for the Bazaar will be April 30th.Time still pending. In the past we have had great turn outs and are so excited for this year. If you haven't seen or been to the Salon we have a great front yard area, sidewalk and long driveway that is available for us to set up tables.  (In case of bad weather we can move inside the salon)  Tables, tent and chairs will NOT be provided. Once it gets closer we will select a time for the bazaar, as well as set up and take down times. 

In the past we have people sell everything from baby stuff, jewelry, baked goods, vitamin supplements etc.. So give us a call and let us know what you will be selling and we'll let you know if we may be interested. We can set up a time for you to show us a little of what you sell. We will do our best to avoid having too many similar products if that ends up being an issue.

Microdermabrasion

Q: What Is Microdermabrasion?

A: Microdermabrasion is an effective, non-surgical way to get rid of acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles and sunspots by exfoliating the top layers of the skin. No chemicals or laser beams are used, only a crystal tip that gently sandblast your skin, leaving itsmooth fresh, and soft like a baby!. Microdermabrasion also stimulates collagen production, helping your skin rejuvenate faster than normal. Microdermabrasion takes up to one hour and has no downtime! Your skin will GLOW!!

Q: What Does Microdermabrasion Involve?

A: Your skin is first cleansed twice, with products especially forYOUR skin type! The Esthetician then starts the microdermabrasion procedure using a hand-held device. The device works by gently exfoliating with the crystal tipped wand against the skin, the wand vacuums back dead skin cells all at the same time.

The esthetician slowly moves the wand across your entire face and not just on treated areas. After microdermabrasion, your skin is soothed with a special mask, moisturizer and nourishing spf, allowing you to go back to your daily routine immediately after treatment.

Q: Is Microdermabrasion For Me?

A: If your skin care goal is to get rid of acne scars, blotchy skin, the appearance of large pores, age or sun spots, fine lines & wrinkles or uneven skin tone and texture, you are a perfect candidate for microdermabrasion. All skin types and colors can be treated with microdermabrasion. But before you go ahead, talk to your esthetician (me;)) about your medical history because there are conditions which may make microdermabrasion unsuitable for you.

Q: Will I Experience Any Discomfort During Treatment Does It Hurt?

A: Micro abrasion treatment is painless. It feels like the mild facial massage from a special wand. Your face may appear a little pinkish in the first 24 hours, but you should not experience any itchiness or pain.

Q: Are There Any Microdermabrasion Contraindications?

A: Microderm abrasion is not recommended to keratosis sufferers, people with undiagnosed lesions, active rosacea or acne, weeping acne (stages 3 to 4), diabetes, auto-immune disorders, fragile capillaries, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis or lupus. Recent laser surgery or Accutane acne treatment may also be sound reasons for your esthetician not to recommend microdermabrasion. Discuss your medical history to your esthetician if unsure.

Should I shave my hair before waxing?
No, the hair growth needs to be about 1/4" long for body hair and about 1/8" for eyebrows and hair on the ears. The wax has to have something to hold onto in order for it to be uprooted.
When will the hair re-appear?
That depends on every individual person, but with the majority of people it will take about 6-10 weeks for all of the hair you have waxed to reappear. All of it does not grow back at the same rate.
Is it true that the hair will grow back thicker after waxing?
No. Actually, if you continue to wax with regularity, it will eventually slow down the hair growth!

Are there any medical conditions/situations when I should not get waxing services?

Everyone's level of sensitivity varies. If you think that you might be sensitive, then let me know and we can do a patch test. If you are on certain medications for acne, or use certain steroids, you might be more prone to sensitivity. It also depends on what is getting waxed. Someone who uses a topical acne prescription might not want to get their facial waxing done, but anywhere else should be fine!

Sarah is a local girl from good ol' Orem! She is currently a full time student at UVU, studying Psychology. She loves laughing, m&ms & Disneyland. :)
